CONTEMPORARY ART PRACTICES
The thrust of this Working Together Group is creating contemporary imagery via exploration of and experimentation with media,
processes and techniques to engage in the moment of creation without specific concerns about the outcomes. Members work
toward unblocking the barriers to image making and letting the creativity flow. There will be lots of playing and happenstance.
Our aim is to explore different styles of painting as well as using different mediums and techniques to create unique works of art.
Our group is very diverse, we learn from each other and share knowledge to continue along our art journey which is challenging
and above all lots of fun.
We are a compassionate group and will consider waiving this in extreme circumstances. We will not set topics to be addressed
but will keep an “IDEAS” jar in the cupboard to help artists when there is a blockage between brain and brush.
Subscriptions: A $4 fee for the use of the facilities applies each Tuesday and a $2 fee to the group to help with costs associated
with the hiring of the gallery/workshops/excursions. The $4 fee is only payable on the days members attend but the $2 weekly
fee is payable every week (up to $10 maximum for extended absences).
All members of the group must be members of BICAS.
