BRIBIE ISLAND QUILTERS
ENJOY A WIDE RANGE OF NEEDLECRAFTS & THE ART OF PATCHWORK AND QUILTING
This happy group was started with a handful of ladies 30 years ago and at present around 65 members enjoy the company and productivity of our weekly meetings in Studio 3.
Although we are mainly a patchwork and quilting group, our members excel in all avenues of needlecraft including embroidery, candlewicking, knitting, crochet and cross-stitch.
Our members enjoy a wide range of needlecrafts but our main focus is to encourage and enjoy the art of patchwork and quilting. Apart from the friendly social aspect of our meetings, and quilting for our own pleasure, we use our skills to raise funds for local charities, donating money each year to support many local charities.
We also make quilts for disaster relief and for local hospitals such as Caboolture Hospital and make beanies for babies at the Mater Hospital.
New members are always welcome, and if they need help or advice with a project, there is always a willing mentor.
